ABOUT THE ARTIST

-----------------------------

Hello! I'm Jayden Payne, a japanese-indigenous-american cartoonist, story artist and illustrator from the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I'm a Senior SCAD student studying Sequential Art with double minors in Drawing and Storyboarding. I specialize in comics, storyboarding, visual development, set design, and a bit of website design! (I coded this whole site myself!)

Comics have always been a part of my life, whether it be creating or reading them. Whenever I had a free moment, I was always drawing out comics detailing my own life or the lives of my favorite characters, exploring the world through my own vision. Storytelling has always been a natural skill for me! As I grew up I always took pride in being independant and hands on, so everything I could potentially buy or lend off work; I chose to instead more or do myself, and when it comes to diverse and engaging stories, what better way to contribute than to make those stories myself! Every opportunity is an opportunity for me to learn and grow, and I will never flinch at any chance to push myself to my limits and go beyond!

When I'm not drawing in my free time, I'm either spending time with my friends and family, baking/cooking, picnic-ing, bowling, going on a bike ride, or playing a TON of Minecraft Hardcore!
